Georgia Divisional Music & Arts Department Staff
Daniel Meeks has served as Divisional Music Director for The Salvation Army in the State of Georgia since 2001 and holds a Bachelors of Music Education degree from Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. He has grown up in The Salvation Army being a child of Salvation Army Corps Officers.
Daniel began his passion for music at the Kimball Conservatory of Music in the Georgia Division and has attended since 1988 serving as student, staff, and now director of this program. He believes that his participation in this program as well as corps and divisional music groups in various other divisions has continued his passion for music and now leads him to educate young people both spiritually and socially using music as a medium.
Daniel lives in Snellville, Georgia with his wife Sunshine, daughters Ana Stezia and Dakota Syne and their dog Jasper. The Meeks soldier at the Atlanta Temple Corps and are heavily involved with both the senior and youth music programs of the corps.
