Kimball Music Conservatory – June 17 – July 13, 2019
Conservatory Graduation - July 13th
Cost: $840.00 ($210/wk) Ages: 12-17
Applications due by May 10
The mission of the Kimball Conservatory is to provide a high standard of Christian musical training for young aspiring Salvationists.
The extended period of study is competitive with national Summer Music Institutes, which more advanced students are prone to attend.
The Senior Conservatory program will offer three concentrations of study:
Band, Piano, and Creative Arts.
Each student will choose a major to develop the skills necessary to perform and eventually lead in their Corps.
Students will be required to take part in Chorus, Music Theory, Bible Study and Elective Classes.
It is required that all students perform a solo or duet.
There will be daily classes scheduled for a five-day school week.
These days will not always be Monday through Friday, but will vary depending on field trips and weekend Corps ministry trips.
There will be a standard curriculum set for each student.
Along with the guidance of their private lesson instructor, students will set his/her own musical achievement goals.
The record of achievement will be determined according to those goals.
We would love for anyone interested to come, but ask that you consider your most enthused and dedicated young people.
First consideration will be given based on previous years' attendance and current Corps involvement.
Due to limited space, we would appreciate a quick and concerted effort be made to assure that applications are submitted promptly.
**The Piano Major can only accommodate 8 young people.
**The Creative Arts Major can only accommodate 10 young people.
