• Participants must be active and regularly participating Junior or Senior Soldiers associated with a corps or involved in a corps-based community music and arts program. 

• Participants are encouraged to compete in the age-appropriate solo level but may move up to a higher level if desired. 

• Participants cannot enter more than ONE level of a solo category per year.

• Each participant will receive a score based on the judging criteria. This score will determine a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner.

• Test pieces will be listed on the Georgia Music and Arts website. Please look for your category and level for your piece for practice.

• Uniform guidelines can vary for some categories so participants should refer to the specific guidelines for the respective category.

• Standard Junior/Senior Soldier uniform is required for all Junior/Senior Soldier participants.

• Prospective or non Junior and Senior Soldiers must wear the standard uniform except for the official “S” which is not permitted until enrollment. This includes a white collared top (with an undershirt), navy/black pants (pants or skirt for female participants), navy/black socks or tights, and black shoes.

• Corps identity wear such as sweaters or vests are acceptable in addition to the standard uniform.

• Dance and Drama participants will not be required to wear uniform WHILE performing. If participants have a different costume for their performance, they must return to proper uniform following their performance and be in uniform for the Awards Ceremony.

• Adjudicators will be looking for clothing to be neat, modest, and to uniform standard.
